The ice at Canalside is Buffalo's newest downtown attraction. It offers more than ice skating! Enjoy curling or, unique to Buffalo, enjoy riding an ice bike. Ice Bikes were designed and manufactured locally to be ridden on the ice! Warm up with some hot cocoa and snacks from the Winter Café! Downtown Buffalo's outdoor, free ice-skating rink. Snacks and beverages are available. Open November 27th, 2016 thru March 19, 2017 Tuesdays thru Sundays weather permitting (closed Mondays). Host an upcoming party or special event; party packages available. Skate rental available. Rotary Rink is weather dependent. Call before coming if the temperature reaches 45 degrees.

Ice Bikes allow you to ride a bike while on the surface of The Ice! This stable unit allows you to pedal and steer your way around the rink in the same manner as you would if you were going for a traditional bike ride. These unique bikes were designed and manufactured locally and cannot be found anywhere else, come on down and be the first to take a ride on an Ice Bike! Every Friday, Saturday & Sunday through March 19, 2017.

We’re bringing Buffalo’s largest Craft Beer Festival back to the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center! The 5th Annual Buffalo on Tap begins on Friday, January 15th from 6pm to 9pm and continues on Saturday, January 16th with Session 1 from 1pm-4pm and Session 2 from 6pm-9pm (VIP starting at 12pm). Sample over 150 releases from some of America’s best craft breweries. Plus hang out in an atmosphere filled with live music, delicious food available for purchase, and great vendors.

January through April 2017, The Center hosts Third Thursday Trivia Night at The Center highlighting all things Buffalo. The Burchfield Penney Art Center celebrates its 50th Anniversary this year by sharing trivia about Buffalo and Western New York! There will be questions on music, sports, politics, scandals, architecture, geography, art and artists, food and drink, and much, much more! Food and drink will be available for purchase all night in the café. FREE and open to the public.
